Your final paper and/or presentation must be typed and in a font that is easy to read, preferably a standard font such as Calibri or Times New Roman. 3. You must start with a main idea for your persuasive project, such as I think that soft drinks are the worst type of drink for your health. Kings Island is the greatest theme park in the entire world. It’s a great idea to grow your own garden. 4. you must have 3 examples/reasons to support your main idea
tips:
Sometimes it helps to add the word “because” to the end of your main idea sentence. This can help you focus on your reasons in your persuasive argument.

When you are coming up with your example/reasons to support your main idea, it’s a good idea to organize those ideas in a list first. This can help you organize your ideas before you write them into your persuasive paper.
Organic foods are better than non-organic because: 1. They have fewer pesticides on them than regular produce 2. They tend to taste better than regular produce 3. They are likely to come from a local/in-state farm and not shipped from out of state or even out of country. Persuasive Idea #1
Your parents have taken away something of yours that is very important to you. This can be an item (an ipod) or a privilege (watching TV) Think about what is the most important thing to you and imagine that your parents have grounded you from that. Create a short persuasive letter or video listing 3 reasons why you should have that item back. Persuasive idea # 2
You have to leave Earth in a spaceship unexpectedly and you can only bring 3 things with you to your new home. We’ll say this excludes things like family members and pets. What are those 3 items you will take with you and persuade your audience as t why these items should be brought with you.

Choose three ideas or items that are of cultural important to you. Explain why they are important to you and how important/ influential they are to your society as a whole. Examples are: Martin Luther King’s I have a dream speech, Every episode of the the Daily show with Jon Stewart, my family’s yearly trek to a family reunion or to see a family member, or cultural events like Ramadan or Passover.
